Anglo & International Corporate Finance says it will bridge the UK, Hong Kong, and mainland China for cross-border transactions.

Corporate finance advisory firm Anglo & International Corporate Finance Limited, part of the Hong Kong-headquartered Anglo Chinese Group, has achieved direct authorisation from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), effective from 24 February 2026.

The London-based firm operates as an Article 3 MiFID-exempt firm with permissions related to investments. Its regulatory requirements restrict it to conducting corporate finance business only. The authorisation marks a strategic expansion for the founder-led Anglo Chinese Group, which was originally established in 1988 to focus on bespoke corporate finance advisory and investing across Greater China and the overseas Chinese diaspora.

According to an announcement by Director Charles Yim, the UK platform is designed to support clients in cross-border M&A, capital markets advisory (including IPOs), property brokerage and financing, debt and corporate restructuring, and corporate investigations.

Charles Yim has assumed the regulated SMF16 Compliance Oversight and SMF3 Executive Director roles. He joined the Anglo Chinese Group in 2015, working on complex liability management and financial restructuring, and relocated to London in 2024 to re-establish the firm's UK office.

Dennis Cassidy has taken on the SMF17 Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and SMF3 Executive Director positions. With over 45 years of corporate finance experience, Cassidy joined Anglo Chinese in 1999 and retired as the Head of Corporate Finance in 2019, remaining a Senior Adviser to the firm and a director of the London-based subsidiary.

The group's joint founders, Christopher Howe and Stephen Clark, both hold SMF3 Executive Director roles for the UK entity. Clark brings over 50 years of experience and is a former chairman of the Hong Kong Takeovers and Mergers Panel. Howe, who brings over 45 years of investment banking experience, leads the firm's liability management, corporate restructuring, and litigation support activities.

Patrick Johnson rounds out the leadership team, also holding an SMF3 Executive Director position. A chartered accountant who joined the firm in 1999, Johnson serves as the group general manager overseeing Anglo Chinese’s operations, risk monitoring, compliance, and accounting.
