Tell your agent to use Hackford, then describe the firm population, person movement or regulatory context you need.
“Find active investment managers with more than $1 billion in regulated AUM.”
“Find firms that appointed a new SMF16 in the last 60 days.”
“Find investment managers with turnover above £10 million.”
“Create a watchlist containing these firms.”
What it can do
Bring supported Hackford workflows into the conversation.
MCP uses the same Public API contracts and account rules as the platform. Available data and exports depend on your subscription.
Search regulated firms
Search by Firm type, regulator, status, regulated AUM, turnover and other supported firm signals.
Find people and roles
Find regulated people and correlate role, status, source and appointment-date criteria to the same role record.
Understand firm context
Inspect firm profiles, permissions and appointed-representative or principal relationships.
Continue work in Hackford
With optional permission, create and manage watchlists and saved searches that remain available in the platform.

Security and control

- Read access is required
- Saved-work management is optional
- Account and workspace rules still apply
- Disconnect access at any time
Beta FAQ
Questions about Hackford MCP.
What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol is a standard that lets compatible AI tools call approved external tools. Hackford MCP gives an agent structured access to supported Hackford workflows.
Who can join the beta?
Existing Hackford subscribers can request access. We are keeping the beta controlled while we test client compatibility, support and real customer workflows.
Do I need an API key?
No API key is needed for MCP. Your client opens Hackford sign-in and completes an OAuth 2.1 authorization flow.
Which AI clients are supported?
Hackford MCP is designed for compatible remote MCP clients and has been tested with ChatGPT, Codex and Claude. Connector availability can depend on the client and your plan with that provider.
Can an agent change my Hackford account?
Read access is required. Creating, editing or deleting watchlists and saved searches requires a separate permission that you choose during connection.
Does MCP change my Hackford data access?
No. Results follow the same account, workspace and product-entitlement rules as the Hackford platform. Formal regulatory checks should still be verified against the relevant official register.
