Brabus Capital receives FCA authorisation

Hedge fund manager Brabus Capital LLP has achieved authorisation from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), effective from 1 July 2026.

Launched in 2025, Brabus Capital is a London-based systematic equity hedge fund manager focused on quantitative, market-neutral equity strategies. The firm combines systematic stock-selection models with thematic and style-based portfolio inputs. It has permissions related to investments.

Matthew Gormley holds the SMF27 Partner role. He is a founding partner at Brabus Capital, after portfolio manager roles at Walleye Capital and ExodusPoint Capital Management. Earlier in his career, he worked on systematic equity market-neutral strategies at Squarepoint Capital.

Matthew Isherwood also holds the SMF27 Partner role. He is Co-Founder and Partner at Brabus Capital, after portfolio manager and quantitative research roles at Walleye Capital, Man GLG, Element Capital Partners, and Capula Investment Management.

Tajinder Sahota holds the SMF16 Compliance Oversight, SMF17 Money Laundering Reporting Officer, and SMF27 Partner roles. He is Chief Operating Officer at Brabus Capital, after COO and operations roles at Sandbar Asset Management and Alcova Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he worked in Delta One and equity derivatives roles at Nomura and Goldman Sachs.
